The Hotel Juan de la Cosa is located on Berria beach, two kilometres from the centre of Santoña, birthplace of the famous navigator and cartographer Juan de la Cosa. Built in the middle of the last century and completely refurbished, it offers our guests magnificent views in a privileged natural setting.
It is a unique building, whose construction project won a national architectural competition in 1990. It has cosy rooms, decorated in pleasant tones and with a modern style, in perfect harmony with the landscape that can be seen from its terraces.
Margot Astuy, director of the hotel, says that being located in Cantabria, they enjoy a very variable climate, which often affected their bookings.
“It doesn’t rain for a long time, it’s not sunny for a long time, but that makes people get discouraged or follow their route”.
