The San Marcos complex was founded in 1991 and is located in a beautiful estate surrounded by nature near the historic centre and opposite the Santillana del Mar Zoo. The architecture is inspired by a medieval concept and its facilities and services make it the ideal place to live a unique Cantabrian experience.
It has a gym, swimming pool, spa and even a museum of antique cars that adds a very original differentiating element. Guests can also enjoy all kinds of sensory experiences from watching a falcon fly a few metres away, listening to the croaking of storks, and enjoying breathtaking views at sunset, while listening to the howling of wolves and the roar of lions from the Santillana Zoo.
Its current director, Rubén De La Pinta, took over the management of the resort in 2018 when his father decided to retire from the tourism business. Taking on a new challenge, Rubén decided to breathe new life into the establishment’s 30 years of operation, expanding the offer and creating a building and flats to meet the need of young families with young children, which required him to work with management software that will help him meet his goals.
