Avirato cookie policy

Last updated: 9 October 2026.

Avirato, S.L. (“Avirato”) explains in this policy which cookies and similar technologies are used on its website www.avirato.com, what they are for, and how you can accept them, reject them or change your choice at any time. Avirato’s identification and contact details are in the legal notice (in Spanish).

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser or on your device when you visit it. They make the site work, remember your preferences and, if you allow it, measure how the site is used or show you advertising. They can be used to identify you, so their use is governed by data protection law and by Article 22 of the Spanish Information Society Services Act (LSSI).

Depending on who manages them, they are first-party cookies (sent by Avirato) or third-party cookies (sent by another company, such as Google). Depending on how long they last, they are session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (kept for a set period).

How we use them: only with your consent

The first time you visit, we show a notice so that you can choose. We do not set analytics or marketing cookies until you accept them. You can choose “Accept all”, “Reject all” or “Customise” to decide by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting and does not stop you using the website.

  • Necessary: essential for the website to work and to remember your choice. They do not require consent and cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics: they tell us how many people visit the website and which pages they use, so we can improve it.
  • Marketing: they help us measure whether our adverts work and remember the advert or campaign that brought you here.

When you accept the marketing category, Google Ads may also set advertising cookies from its own domains (google.com and doubleclick.net). You can see which ones they are and how long they last at https://business.safety.google/adscookies/.

This website sets no other first-party cookies, and the server does not send any cookie when pages load.

YouTube videos

Some pages include YouTube videos. The player (youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube’s enhanced privacy mode) is only loaded when you click on the video. When you play it, Google may store information in your browser under its own terms, which you can read at https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.

How to change your choice

You can change or withdraw your consent whenever you like from the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page of the website. When you withdraw a category, we delete the cookies that had been set under it.

Your choice is remembered for 180 days; after that, or if we change the cookies or this policy, we will ask you again.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block all of them, some parts of the website may not work properly:

Proof of your consent

To be able to show that you accepted or rejected cookies, when you make your choice we keep a record with a random code (the same one as in your cc_cookie cookie), the date, the version of the notice, the language and the categories you accepted. We do not store your IP address or anything that identifies you. We keep this record for 3 years.

Your rights and contact

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to info@avirato.com. You can find more information on how we handle your data in the privacy policy (in Spanish). If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

The data collected by Google and Hotjar may be processed outside the European Economic Area, under the safeguards each company provides (such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework). You can read their policies at https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://www.hotjar.com/legal/policies/privacy/.

We may update this policy when the cookies we use or the law change. The date of the latest update is shown at the top.
